The ERF-2030 RF power 25 watt transistor replaces the 2SC2166, 2SC1969 and 2SC2312 transistors. Mitsubishi discontinued the 2SC2166, 2SC1969, and 2SC2312 in 2004 but EKL has released compatible replacement components. The ERF2030 is a 25 watt transistor that is actually an upgrade over the old Mitsubishi components. EKL has tested the ERF-2030 to 40 watts PEP, but your individual results may vary.
The ERF-2030 is a mechanical drop in replacement part for the 2SC2166, 2SC1969, and 2SC2312. The ERF-230 features a TO-220 package with the same pin configuration as the parts it replaces. The ERF-2030 requires minimal circuit modifications to complete installation. If you are confident in your soldering skills and know your way around a printed circuit board this may be a modification for you attempt.
